Universite of Luxembourg

Founded in 2003, the University of Luxembourg represents the public university of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Multilingual, international and research-oriented, it is also a modern institution with a personal atmosphere. The UL has 1,420 academic staff (including doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, research associates and others) supporting 268 professors, assistant professors and lecturers in their teaching. The research group of Prof. Bradley Ladewig (the project Coordinator) represents Paul Wurth chair with joint support from Paul Wurth Company (part of SMS Group) and the University of Luxembourg. The group is focused on hydrogen-related materials and technologies that address critical gaps in the European context, including the need for very substantial production of green hydrogen for industrial applications.

Role in the project:

At the Luxembourg Hydroden Valley project, the University of Luxembourg performs coordinative tasks between the partners of the LuxHyVal Consortium as well as between the Consortium and the EC and the external stakeholders. University of Luxembourg is overall responsible for management of the project as well as for specific tasks focused on educational trainings and professional upskilling courses that would be delivered on the University premises and coordinated with other education providers in the Greater Region.
